Terms of use
Last updated 9 October 2026. DRAFT: to be reviewed before launch.
1. What Ratify EDF is
Ratify EDF (edf.getratify.com) is a free tool from Ratify. It turns the details you type in into documents you can give your bank for an Export Declaration Form (EDF) under the Foreign Exchange Management (Export and Import of Goods and Services) Regulations, 2026: a filled copy of a bank's template and the RBI form.
2. Not advice
Ratify EDF is not legal, tax, accounting or CA advice, and it is not a substitute for your bank's or adviser's guidance. The rules are new, and RBI has said it will publish FAQs. Banks may ask for different formats or documents. Whether you need to file, which codes apply and how to describe your services are for you to decide, with your bank or a professional if needed.
3. You are responsible for what you file
You must check every field in every document before you sign or submit it. You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information and for filing on time. Deadlines and dates shown by the tool are a convenience, based on our reading of the regulations, and may be wrong for your case.
4. Not affiliated with banks or RBI
Ratify is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for HDFC Bank, any other bank or the Reserve Bank of India. Bank templates are used so that customers can fill them in; names and formats belong to their owners.
5. No warranty
The tool is provided "as is", without any warranty. We may change or stop it at any time. To the extent the law allows, Ratify is not liable for any loss, penalty, delay, rejected filing or other damage arising from using the tool or the documents it produces.
6. Invoices you make
The invoice maker lays out the details you enter. You are responsible for the content of your invoices, including tax wording such as the LUT declaration, invoice numbering and the bank details shown.
7. Your data
Documents are generated in your browser. Signing in with a Ratify account is optional; it is also subject to Ratify's terms. When you are signed in, each pack you download is filed to your account together with your sign-off, and filed packs cannot be edited or deleted: they are kept as a record for the retention period (currently 8 years, to be confirmed). Ticking the sign-off box confirms that you have checked the details and that they are what you will submit to your bank. See the privacy note for what is stored and where.
